Change Management

It’s not so much that we’re afraid of change, or so in love with the old ways, but its that place in between we fear... it’s like being in between trapezes. It’s Linus when his blanket is in the dryer. There’s nothing to hold on to.”

Marilyn Ferguson, The Aquarian Conspiracy

Description
Initiating and navigating change successfully is an ability key to the success of any professional managing in the ‘90s. The process of letting go of old work roles and familiar structures - while it may be leading to a brighter future - is often threatening to those being impacted by changes they neither want nor well appreciate. When people feel out of control and outcomes are unpredictable, a potent change management strategy can help people to cope constructively with their sense of loss (and/or gain). As a 1/2 day briefing will provide a model for understanding organizational change at both an individual and an organizational level, a longer seminar will support participants in managing the interconnected variables that must be dealt with effectively if change is to be carried out with a minimum of disruption and a maximum of respect and good will.
